Nonetheless, the family was reunited after his father spent hours searching for them.

Further, the doctor’s father worked in oil mines where he was a petroleum mechanic during the time that oil had just been discovered in the Middle East. It is for this reason that he relocated his family to Kuwait in the 1950s since there was high demand for his skills in the country. This saw Dr. Saad together with his siblings attend school in Kuwait where the climate was sweltering. His father always reminded him that of their situation as refugees in Kuwait was not permanent but would change through persistent hard work in his education to the highest level possible.

Dr. Saad’s Career Choice

It all started one day during summer when he was still in high school in the 1960s when he suddenly fainted due to the hot sun. What’s more, due to his terrible experience in the hot summers of Kuwait the doctor decided that he would not have an outdoor career. He preferred one that would see him work in an air-conditioned room which landed him in the hospital theatres.

Dr. Saad always attributes his success to his father who guided him accordingly until he completed his studies where he graduated in medicine with honors. Furthermore, the doctor uses his life example to encourage others where he says he made it from his poor background as a Palestinian refugee to be a successful doctor in America which anyone else can.
